Algeria is ramping up preparations for the Intra-African Trade Fair 2025 (IATF2025), scheduled to be held in Algiers from September 4th to 10th. As the six-month countdown begins, Algeria’s government, in collaboration with the organising committee, is working to ensure a successful event expected to attract over 35,000 visitors from more than 140 countries.
Algeria’s Minister of External Trade and Export Promotion, Mohammed Boukhari, has confirmed the country’s readiness to host the event, emphasising its extensive resources and capabilities. A high-level intersectoral committee has been established to oversee preparations, with expectations that IATF2025 will align perfectly with Algeria’s economic objectives.
Boukhari noted that Algeria takes pride in its continental identity, describing the event as an opportunity to highlight the nation’s deep-rooted civilization and its aspirations for the future. This readiness reflects not only a commitment to economic progress but also a desire to strengthen Algeria’s ties with the rest of the African continent.

Organised by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) aims to provide a unique platform for trade and investment information exchange, promoting increased intra-African trade and investment under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
The event gathers continental and global players to showcase their goods and services, explore business opportunities, and discuss solutions to challenges hindering intra-African trade and investment.
In addition to African participants, the Trade Fair welcomes businesses and investors from non-African countries interested in doing business in Africa and supporting the continent’s transformation through industrialisation and export development.
