President of the Nigerian-Turkish Business Council, Dele Kelvin Oye, has called for stronger support for women- and youth-led enterprises in Nigeria. Speaking in Owerri at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Youth and Women Day event, Oye said such businesses are “essential to achieving inclusive economic growth and sustainable national development.”
Focus on collaboration and policy support
Oye stressed the need for greater collaboration across sectors to open up opportunities in trade, education, and technology. He urged federal and state governments to adopt policies that improve access to funding, encourage innovation hubs, and offer skill-building tailored to women and young people.
