…Startups advance in JusticeTechNG 2025 accelerator
Ten startups have been selected as winners of the second round of JusticeTechNG 2025, Nigeria’s national justice-focused hackathon and accelerator. The programme supports digital solutions aimed at improving the delivery of justice in the country.
The initiative is led by Fernandez Marcus-Obiene, the Special Assistant to the President on Justice Sector Reform. Over 80 applications were submitted, with finalists selected after a three-day hackathon held in Lagos from 3 to 5 June.

Focus on justice reform
The selected teams are developing tools to improve access to legal aid, court digitisation, legal education, and the reintegration of ex-offenders. These include digital court filing systems, rights awareness platforms, and solutions targeted at vulnerable communities.

Funding and next steps
The 10 startups have entered a four-week accelerator programme. They will receive mentorship, technical support, and policy guidance ahead of a final Demo Day in July. A total of ₦22 million in funding and services will be shared. The top team will receive ₦10 million (₦5 million in cash and ₦5 million in services), followed by ₦7 million and ₦5 million for the second and third positions.
The programme is supported by both public and private sector stakeholders.
