Meta has announced a new initiative called the Llama Startup Program. This programme is designed to assist early-stage startups working on generative AI applications. It provides selected companies with financial and technical support to help them develop and scale AI solutions.
Funding and technical assistance
The Llama Startup Program offers up to $6,000 per month for six months to each participating startup. In addition to funding, startups will receive technical support from Meta’s Llama experts. This includes hands-on assistance and guidance in exploring the capabilities of the Llama model.
According to Meta, the programme aims to help startups “fast-track AI development without financial or technical roadblocks.” Participants will also gain access to cloud-based APIs to build and test their AI applications.

Eligibility and application process
To qualify for the programme, startups must meet the following criteria:
Be based in the United States
Be legally incorporated
Have raised less than $10 million in funding
Include at least one developer in the team
The programme is open to startups across various sectors, including technology, finance, healthcare, telecommunications, and e-commerce.

Deadline for applications
Applications for the Llama Startup Program will close on 30 May 2025 at 6:00 PM PT. Startups interested in participating are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
