The Yobe State Government has partnered with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) to strengthen its investment climate through a workshop on State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER).
The workshop focused on areas including land administration, business registration, investment promotion, tax systems, and governance transparency.

State reaffirms investment commitment
Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Governor Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, who chairs Yobe’s Ease of Doing Business Council, said the reforms aim to “attract massive investment and fuel economic growth.” He assured that the state is committed to removing obstacles facing investors.

PEBEC pushes for simpler processes
PEBEC’s Director General, Princess Zarah Mustapha Audu, reaffirmed the council’s goal “to simplify starting, operating, and growing businesses in Nigeria.”
Yobe has set up its own Ease of Doing Business Council and a Public-Private Partnership and Investment Council. Stakeholders expressed optimism about the state’s direction.
