…FG, Kano in renewed industrial pact
The Federal Government and Kano State have reaffirmed their partnership to promote industrial development. This followed a meeting in Abuja on Wednesday between the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Ata, and Kano Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam.
The session marked a fresh step in aligning federal resources with Kano’s industrial plans. Both parties signalled a joint commitment to deepen cooperation, aiming to unlock the state’s industrial capacity through coordinated efforts.

Oyo records agribusiness growth
In a separate development, Oyo State has secured over $170 million in agribusiness investments. The announcement came during an inter-ministerial press briefing at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
Oyo’s Commissioner for Agriculture, Olasunkanmi Olaleye, said the Fashola Agribusiness Hub is now home to major cassava, cashew, and dairy processors. He stated that over 8,000 smallholder farmers have been integrated into structured supply chains.

In the past two years, the ministry has supported 10,210 farmers with inputs, distributed improved seedlings and tools, provided microloans to 3,501 farmers, and constructed 87.53 km of rural roads.
The event was opened by SSG Prof. Olanike Adeyemo and coordinated by Governor Makinde’s media team, led by Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
